Hydrogenated Fatty Acids
Ambrogio Pagani SpA has been producing C16-C18 hydrogenated fatty acids (stearic acid) since the 1970s, using renewable sources of both animal and vegetable origin. Historically, stearic acid was produced solely from the processing of animal fats, obtained as slaughtering waste. Then, at the end of the 90s, to meet new market needs, the company installed a second production line dedicated to stearine of vegetable origin. As sustainability and the responsible use of natural resources are fundamental aspects of the company policy, AMBROGIO PAGANI can also offer RSPO Mass Balance certified vegetable products, to support the sustainable production of palm oil.
The experience gained over the years allows to produce substances with high purity and quality which find applications in several field: from pharmaceutical to cosmetics, from surfactants to textile auxiliaries, from plastic additives to metal working
